A brave cop in Mumbai, Maharashtra, saved a woman's life after she slipped from the railway platform and fell on train tracks.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, Hasan Patel, who was on a fast for Ramadan, did not slow a bit and instead sprung into action to save the woman from being run over by a local train.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when Patel was deputed at Mumbra station to attend to the handicapped coaches, as per Mid-day report.
He saw a ladies special slow train arrive at platform number two and a woman attempted to board.
He Patel noticed that the woman lost her balance and slipped on the tracks when the train started to move.
The woman, who was later identified as Sharda, began to be dragged by the train when Patel ran to her rescue, according to Mid-day report.
Rajendra Pandav, senior inspector of RPF, said: "A woman named Sharda was trying to board the general coach but she slipped. The constable immediately swung into action and saved her life.
"We are happy that we have such staffers who help people without a second thought. We will definitely appreciate his tremendous work."
